BERROLUTION 2024

What’s that, you ask? It’s a new holiday celebrating the love of Paulina and Lukas Berro, my amazing friends!

She’s Polish and he’s Czech. They live in Austria but got married in Poland, and I had the privilege of being asked to be their photographer and guest.

Some photographers might say, “Either I am your guest or I am at work,” but I absolutely love to do both! It hits me deeper when I get to document my friends’ special day.

I got double the pleasure from the day and bonded even closer with them.

So, let me tell you about the weekend at @polna_zdroj in Poland.

The venue is located in a small village with absolutely outstanding views of greenery, a feeling of serenity, and relaxation.

I arrived there with my partner Ryan on Thursday. We got to meet all the family and friends. There were about 65 people, and we spoke four languages: English, Polish, Czech, and German. Even though I struggled to communicate with some people verbally, let’s be honest—everyone speaks the language of love and body language 🙂

We chilled on Thursday with beer and BBQ. Everyone was getting excited about the next day's celebrations!

We couldn’t have asked for a better day! Saturday was really sunny and warm. I don’t want to jinx it, but the majority of the time when I shoot weddings, the weather is nice! (Hint hint: book me for your wedding, and you don’t need to worry about bad weather! ;P)

Paulina got ready with the help of @agnieszka_twardziszewska_mua and @uczesz_mnie_jg.

Oh, and I can’t forget about her maid of honour, Monika @monia_harmonia, who honestly did such an amazing job and was on point with all the tasks of the day! Paulina and Monika actually had walkie-talkies to communicate, as the mobile reception was poor there.

The ceremony took place outdoors beneath a beautiful floral arch made by @sabada.dekoruje.

Paulina and Lukas actually got married on Thursday in the registry office in Czechia, so on Saturday, the ceremony was conducted by the maid of honor and the best man—in three languages!

Did I cry? YES! The ceremony was super special. I loved the vows Paulina and Lukas exchanged. I was super happy for them, and a few tears ran down my cheeks.

After the ceremony, we took some cool pictures together, and then THE FEAST started!

Polish weddings work differently from Scottish ones. Ryan said it looked like a FOOD FESTIVAL because as soon as you finished one delicious meal, another arrived!

There was a bar where Adam, a friend of Paulina and Lukas, was serving us drinks. The whole vibe of the place was incredible, and I will remember that day for a long time!

In the evening, I changed into my ‘wedding guest’ outfit and put my camera away. I enjoyed some drinks and danced with the guests to the amazing music.

Paulina and Lukas, I love you both and will forever cherish our photos from your wedding day!

I actually edited 817 photos in 3 days after the wedding while still on holiday in Poland! YUP, I am a crazy one!!! 🙂

Guys, enjoy the pictures, and if you’d like me to tell your story with pictures, please CLICK HERE and let’s chat!

I can’t wait to hear from you! 🥰

With love,

Anna🌻
